Weekly export of agricultural produce December 6 to December 12, 2020

Export: The major exports during the week were cardamom, ginger, potatoes, mandarin and black pepper. Export to Bangladesh accounted for 53 percent of the total; the rest going to India. In total, 242.05 MT of produce worth Nu. 38.89 million was exported.

The biggest export occurred via Phuentsholing with over 139 MT of mandarin, cardamom, ginger, potatoes and black pepper worth Nu. 19.08m shipped during the week. Over 91 MT of mandarin and 26 MT of cardamom worth over Nu. 15m was exported to Bangladesh and over 21 MT of agricultural produce worth Nu. 3.68m was exported to India.

While over 31 MT of mandarin and cardamom worth Nu. 3.86m was exported to Bangladesh and 32 MT of cardamom worth Nu. 14.55m was exported to India via Gelephu. 

Mandarin was the only commodity exported via S/jongkhar and Nganglam gateways. Mandarin worth of Nu. 0.81m and Nu. .58m was exported to Bangladesh via Samdrup Jongkhar and Nganglam respectively. Around 0.49 MT of mandarin worth Nu. 0.01m was also exported to India via Nganglam.
